In the centre of Rotterdam, you’ll find the hippest hotspot of ‘em all! For delicious food and good Instagram pictures, this is where you need to be.

After walking into Lot & Daan, I immediately fell in love with the left side of the restaurant. If you know me even a little, you’d know that I’m a sucker for design and decoration. The pastel pink wall stole my heart, but the pillows, tables and light bulbs made it even more perfect.

We ordered some food and while waiting, I couldn’t help but test the gorgeous hanging chairs. I got even happier when there turned out to be free and fast WiFi. This makes Lot & Daan the perfect place to discuss work over a cup of tea.

If you’d observe the hotspot, you would quickly find out that the seating options are very diverse and creative. Having a lazy morning? Consider the couches in the back. Getting some work done? The long, wooden table will do. Meeting up over good food? There’s plenty of spots to have a great conversation. You can probably tell, there’s a lot of space!

Something that I value in a hotspot is the amount of vegetarian and vegan options. Being a vegetarian myself, I know how hard it can be to find something in the midst of never ending meaty meals. Luckily, Lot & Daan offers a lot of both veggie and vegan options. The best thing about it, is that you could eat anything at any time of the day. There’s no restricted time for either breakfast, lunch or snacks. This means nachos at 10am and pancakes at 4pm. Sounds good, right? Or is it just me?

Tip: the Acaï bowl was really good. Also, avocado on toast is always a great idea. If you’re into a healthy snack or ate too much pizza yesterday, take a look at the yel-low calories snack wall. Oh, and take a look at how pretty the food presentation is!

Can’t get enough of the food and interior pictures? Luckily for you, Lot & Daan’s instagram page is a pink heaven. For fun facts, delivering options, opening hours and the very diverse menu, check out Lot & Daan’s website.

Getting hungry already? You’ll find Lot & Daan on the map below. It’s located very central, close to the Erasmus Bridge and Blaak train station.

It seems clear to me: paying a visit to Rotterdam means paying a visit to Lot & Daan. And when you do, don’t forget to send me a picture!
